airport

Bangkok Airport (Suvarnabhumi International Airport) is Thailand’s biggest airport. The facilities are excellent and there are daily flights to every continent.

Transportation to and from the airport is quick and easy and the main arrivals and departure halls are welcomingly bright and airy.

Bangkok International Airport is about 26 km outside town. But it’s easy to get to Bangkok city center, either via the Airport Link or taxi.

The Airport Rail Link is a smart alternate to the airport’s express buses or taxis. The two SA Express routes can get you to the airport (or downtown) in 15-18 minutes.

Centara Grand at CentralWorld

The luxurious Centara Grand At CentralWorld is located in Pathumwan, a 10-minute stroll from Chidlom BTS Skytrain Station  and approximately 14 miles from Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Centara Grand CentralWorld is placed adjacent to CentralWorld Department Store. It offers an easy access to other shopping centers, such as MBK, Siam Paragon and Siam Square.

metro

The best way to get around Bangkok is by Skytrain or Metro, which is fast, affordable and easily navigable for visitors.

The city also offers an extensive network of buses, but these are prone to traffic jams, which the city is notorious for.

Taxis are fairly cheap, but again, gridlock is a regular issue.

taxi

Taxis are an inexpensive method of transport in Bangkok, but gridlock and traffic are often a factor.

The quickest way to get from airport to venue is to taxi which costs ฿260 - ฿320 ($7.00-$10.00 USD) and takes approximately 25 minutes.

Uber and Lyft do not operate in Thailand. Grab is the most widely used ride share app which is slightly more expensive than a taxi.

currency

The currency in Thailand is Thai Baht (THB). Credit cards and debit cards are accepted in Thailand at hotels, stores, cafes, and restaurants, however, cash may be needed for some purchases.

Be sure to exchange your money when you arrive at the airport.
